Economic management and purchases

The objective of this Unit responds to the correct control of the processes aimed at the accounting, budgetary and financial processing of the Institute, as well as the adequate acquisition of equipment, maintenance and other associated services. All this offered within the criteria of quality, safety and efficacy required by Biobizkaia from a principle of rationalisation, simplification and transparency.

Economic-administrative management - Functions

  • Monitoring and control of funds, payments, collections, analysis of project income, donations and other financing flows.
  • Payment of salaries, preparation of social security and personal income tax settlements.
  • Monitoring of the evolution of expenses and income. Preparation of data for the calculation of the estimated budget of G/I. Management of associated projects.
  • Interlocution for the purposes of audits and other related procedures.
  • Management of purchases and services according to the procedures developed. Preparation of preliminary reports for the optimal acquisition of the necessary resources (technical specifications, reports for award proposals).
  • Accounting control of fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Billing of the services provided by the Institute's platforms and monitoring of payments.

Purchasing and Contracting - Functions

  • Drafting of public contracting specifications, analysis, assessment and writing of reports in the different phases of the contracting procedure.
  • Negotiation with suppliers, search for offers, issuance and follow-up of orders
  • Maintenance of the purchasing portfolio.
  • Supervision of purchases and costs derived from projects
