The central axis is the information and results in science, technology and innovation that are generated in the Institute to promote their knowledge internally among our researchers and externally in the scientific community. Likewise, it is intended to promote knowledge and curiosity about science among citizens.

The dissemination of scientific knowledge is essential:

• To publicize our work, constitutes an index of the capacity, trajectory and scientific quality assignable to each research group.
• It has become a crucial scientific policy parameter to decide which lines and equipment are financed.
• When we communicate to the academic world and citizens, they are educated in science and technology, thinking and critical thinking, informed decision-making, and individual and community commitment to health care are stimulated.

It acts in coordination with the Press and Communication Office of the Service Organizations, BIOEF and the Department of Health.

Communication

The Institute's internal and external Corporate Communication and Image is managed.

• Collaborate on content with social media.
• To promote and disseminate actions and research results within the Institute.

Disclosure

To promote scientific, technological and innovation culture in society, the following activities are carried out:

• Preparation of adapted content in the form of News and in our corporate social networks.
• Open days, sessions and other events.

Scientific production

Our team accompanies researchers from the Institute in the publication and registration of scientific production, stressing the importance of open access publication and ensuring the visibility of the Institute by including the name Biobizkaia Health Research Institute in the affiliations.

• Main functions:
• Advice on the writing of original and review articles for professionals and emerging groups with little research experience (R1 and R2), mainly.
• Help for selection and submission to high-impact, open access journals.
• Registration and maintenance of the scientific production database, information gathering, CVs, activity reports.
• Search and management of production in Web of Science (WOS).
